Restoran Wong Poh, Bukit Mayang Mas.

When I have my seafood cravings, one of the places that I head out to is Restoran Wong Poh near Aman Suria in PJ. In fact, I am such a fan of this place that I have blogged about it previously, and I just love this place so much!!! =) Since I have blogged about it - lets keep this post simple, but plenty of pictures to make you mouth water and hungry right now ya... hahaha =)

Basically, salted egg goes well with ANYTHING!

Crabs... i just love my crabs!!!

I also damn layan fried rice too... and the ones here... damn good.

The mantaos were rather dry though; maybe an off day for the mantao chef?

This is yet another revisit. =) My previous visits - here and here.

If there is one place for some really nice and yummy and fresh pastries that I would not resist - it would be Levain Boulangerie Patisserie - perhaps one of the best recommendations that I had given amongst all my food posts. LOL.

Jade Pot Dim Sum & Steamboat, Desa Sri Hartamas.

If there's one particular type of cuisine that I like a lot - that would be steamboat!!! I am quite a sucker for steamboat - but I never really get to try the really good ones, apart from those in Hong Kong.... and anyways, recently, I checked out this place in Desa Sri Hartamas - and wow I was impressed!

Mosaic, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur.

I enjoy shopping. I like going to KLCC, Pavilion and wherever it is... and yes, I enjoy going to KLCC. However, shopping at KLCC can be quite annoying when it comes to lunch or dinner time - the restaurants are packed with people, and the choices.... nothing really impressive too. I would most likely drive out to another place and somewhere else... unless.... there's something nice near KLCC.

Recently, its distinctive neighbour - the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur sprung a new surprise for food lovers like myself and yourself - yes... a new place. =)

Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur recently opened Mosaic - a new all day dining venue to add to its list of award winning restaurants - a list including Mandarin Grill, Lai Po Heen, Casbah, Wasabi Bistro, and of course, the Sultan Lounge. The place is an all day dining venue - so its ideal for guests and patrons to come at any time to check out their cuisine! =)

The interior and decor - has been designed by the award winning Japanese creative design company - Spin Design Studio. =) The Spin Design Studio is based in Tokyo, and their portfolio includes designs for hotels, restaurants, and various private residences around the world. Some of their notable works are Jin Sha Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou, Vida Rica Mandarin Oriental Macau, Library Kempenski New Delhi, Crystal Jade Singapore, and many others too.

The design concept of Mosaic - gives you a beautiful illustration of what Mandarin Oriental wants you to feel - the luxury, the pamper and the good food. They have a wide range of international and local cuisine, all served in very creative and imaginative ways.

Food is presented in cast iron pans, woks, copper pots - and also served in individual portions. Mosaic features a vibrant mix of local and international cuisine, complemented with interactive live cooking stations including grill, wok, noodle and tandoor, plus a massive dessert bar. =)

Okay anyways.... why dont I head straight to the food to give you all a clearer picture?

This is the salad bar.

Choose between Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Malay and much more.... oh wait, why choose when you can have them all! Head over there and look for the Chef de Cuisine Chef Raymond Abour Jeily and the friendly Ms Jenna Park, the Restaurant Manager who's ever willing to assist you if you need any help... and for the ladies, go drool over the staffs here.... so many super tall 6 ft Eurasians and so on... perfect eye candy for the ladies!!! LOL...

Yummyyyyzz....

You can head to the pasta station - and create your own pasta. Choose from gnocchi, spaghetti, farfalle, penne or fusilli - and then choose from giardiniera, napoletana, alfredo, bologna, pikante, al salmone, aglio gamberone and my personal favourite - the carbonara and make your own pasta!!! =P

If you rather have Asian... why not go for the Asian noodles? Their laksa lemak comes highly recommended, together with their mee mamak, kway teow, wan ton... there's just such a good selection.

From noon til midnight, you can go for their pizza selections! The recommended favourites are the Pizza Al Salmone... taste the delicious smoked salmon that melts in your mouth.... yummyyy.... the fusion Pizza Peking - roasted duck in your pizza, anyone?

If you are a fan of Indian cuisine, you can enjoy the Tandoori chicken, lamb, prawn with naan and other North Indian specialties right here at Mosaic. =) The favourite here would be the Jhinga Achari - yes... the Tandoori Prawns!!! Served with spicy pickles, chutney and oven fresh naan bread... and who can ignore the awesome murgh makhani!???

With a wide array of food selections, and the awesome view overlooking the lush greenery of the KLCC Park, Mosaic boasts an elegant interior reflection the Peranakan culture with elaborate finishings - to give you a very interactive dining experience.

Who could say no to such food luxury?

If you are a cheese fan just like me - they have a wide array of cheese selections too! =)

Fondue, anyone?

Sweet stuffs! ;P

If there's one thing that I enjoy most, it is desserts! Cakes, sago gula melaka, creme brulee, cheesecakes, fruits, ice cream, sorbet, yoghurt... I just love all of them!!!

Whats the 'damage'? hehehe....

RM88++ per person (lunch)

RM108++ per person (dinner from Sunday to Thursday)

RM128++ per person (dinner on Friday & Saturday)

Anyways, here's the address.... it is technically right next to the Twin Towers. =)
